Delighted to announce I am now a Resident Artist within the University of Chester.

Applying my photographic skills to my own work and also passing on my knowledge to undergraduates.

It is a real privilage to be part of the team based at the Arts and Humanities Campus in Chester.

My residency gives me the opportunity to persue my photographic practice and create images as part of an ongoing art project.

Current Photographic Projects -

Seascapes and landscapes around the River Dee Estuary

ICM abstract seascapes of the local area

Vintage Portraiture in the 1930's style of George Hurrell

After some thought I have decided on a portrait based project and although I still have an ongoing interest in the vintage images of George Hurrell and his portrait work within the movie industry in the 1930's - 1940's I have opted to simplify things and revert to alternative working processes.

Too often photographers become embroiled in equipment and technicalities so why not revert back to basics.

Basics; meaning a very simple 'pinhole' camera. No lens, no shutter, no focusing, not even a viewfinder. Basic enough!
